Officers' Training to Boost Command and Staff Function

With the recent conclusion of two military courses for Officers, the command and staff functions across the Force are expected to be greatly improved.

One Major and 19 Captains successfully completed 23 modules on the Senior Command and Staff Course (SCSC) #11.All participants would have  previously completed a Junior Command and Staff Course (JCSC).

99509 Capt Sheldon Howell emerged the Best Graduating Studentwith 99427 Capt Joslyn Assanah as the Runner-up Graduating Studentand  99421 Maj Hollice Cumberbatch gaining the award for producing the Best Service Paper.


Meanwhile, on the 17-week long JCSC #23, nine Lieutenants successfully completed 24 modules designed to train officers to function as Junior Commanders and Junior Staff Officers,as Unit Commanders of a Company or equivalent Sub-Unit, or as Grade 3 Staff Officers at Battalion level across the Force.Participants on this course would have previously completed a Platoon Commanders course or its equivalent.

The award for Best Graduating Student was earned by 99773 Lt Budeshwar Persaud with 99712 Damon Joseph of Air Corps taking the awards for being the Runner-up Best Graduating Student and producing the Best Service Essay. The Force extends congratulations to the  successful Officers.
